In the 2018/2019 season Paweł Kapuła will be recording an album with the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra. He is also working on a première production of the opera Cud mniemany czyli Krakowiacy i Górale in the Music Theatre in Gdynia. He also appears regularly with the National Philharmonic Orchestra.
In 2016 Paweł Kapuła was Andrey Boreyko’s assistant in the Orchestre National de Belgique in Brussels. As of the 2016/17 season Kapuła is the assistant conductor to maestro Jacek Kaspszyk in the National Philharmonic Orchestra in Warsaw. In December 2016 he made his conducting debut with the National Philharmonic Orchestra and in March 2017 with the National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice. He went on to conduct philharmonic orchestras in Zielona Góra, Wrocław and the Orchestra of the Beethoven Academy.
Paweł Kapuła was born in Rybnik. He graduated from the conducting class in the Academy of Music in Cracow, having studied with Professor Tadeusz Strugała and Professor Stanisław Krawczyński.
He is a finalist and honourable mention laureate in the 1st Adam Kopyciński Conducting Students’ Competition in Wrocław (2013).
Paweł Kapuła is also a graduate of the faculty of musicology of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow.
